Since their inception in late 2016, Carry The Crown have been slowly but surely emerging in the scene as a band that has huge potential. Their sound, often likened to bands such as You Me At Six and Don Broco is a mixture of pop punk, rock and alternative vibes all mixed together to create tracks that won’t leave you for days. Their upcoming EP release Not Alone, due out 2nd March 2018, shows such promise for the relatively new band.

The album opener Fire is a killer track with guitar driven verses and soaring vocals that pair together to create the sort of song you’d expect from bands playing to tens of thousands of fans. Moving on to Hold Me, the track begins with a single guitar paired with the vocal talent of Martin James which shows the bands diversity and ability to cater for a wider audience. The real stand-out moment in the this track is the bridge, which builds into a great finale of echoic and layered vocals that beg for a headbang. Final track Eyes builds softly, with gentle guitar work, into a huge track with crashing drums and chugging guitars, even amassing a breakdown.

Not Alone is a musical masterpiece for a band so fresh on the scene, with a recipe like this Carry The Crown will definitely be a band to keep tabs on. 9/10
