Bedfordshire based band SEASONS have released a brand new single; Getaway, off of their upcoming EP Chapters. The track is full of funky riffs and a bouncing bass line, check it out here:

The idea of our 3rd EP is basically to create songs that are relatable and easy for people to form connections with, no matter their age or situation. The first single, ‘Getaway’ is written about a subject that almost everyone has experienced or witnessed in their life – bullying. It’s a real “middle finger” to any bullies out there who are trying to make someone else’s life hard.

I feel like the song could give someone the strength or empower them to fight back against whoever it is that is making their life miserable. The message is very clear, “I will not be broken”, and all of us in the band can relate to that from our own experiences in school and growing up in this digital age. We just really want people to know that they’re not alone!” – Steve Watts (guitar)

Chapters is due for release on April 20th and the band are doing a give-away on a Fender Squire guitar, check out the details at this link to enter for a chance to win.

“Our third EP ‘Chapters’ is definitely the most emotionally involved collection of music that we have written as a band. The name comes from the idea that the songs are based around a subject that each of us have had connections with or experienced in our own lives, each one a chapter of our lives, if you like. We want people to feel the emotion in each song and to really connect and relate to that. In SEASONS we all have the same view that music and lyrics, in particular, can have such a strong influence on a life whether it’s giving them strength to battle through a tough time, or showing them they aren’t alone in their emotions. We hope that behind the big riffs and catchy choruses, people hear the messages in the songs and enjoy them on that level too!” – Steve Watts
