London’s Danny Wright has shared the music video for his latest single, I didn’t like you (and I really mean it), which has drawn comparisons to bands from 5 Seconds Of Summer to Lower Than Atlantis. The track connects with us through feelings that ninety nine percent will have felt at one time or another. Whether that was a memory, or something more permanent, the lyrics for I didn’t like you (and I really mean it) are sure to connect with the audience more often than not.
“This is a song I’ve been sitting on for a long time, I had a bunch of songs that have been in the works for years, I recently had a horrible anxiety attack which led to a course of therapy sessions. They really helped and a lot with my music blocks, it gave me a more of a ‘fuck it’ attitude. Made me want to get this stuff finished, get to work and get on with it. ‘I didn’t like you (and I really mean it)’ is one of those songs that lets you get out everything you wish you had said before and embrace the single life. You’re better off alone if its not with someone who encourages you rather than the opposite.” – Danny Wright
